Role Summary:
Lead and oversee Woodex’s product development process, ensuring strategic alignment, technical excellence, and commercial success. Manage the full product lifecycle while mentoring the R&D team and maintaining data integrity across systems.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Portfolio Ownership: Define, govern, and maintain the Product Portfolio and Roadmap to align with Woodex’s business goals and brand positioning.
- Lifecycle Management: Lead the product lifecycle from concept through launch, improvement, and retirement. Chair R&D stage gates and cross-functional reviews.
B. Technical & Data Governance
- PIM/DAM Authority: Oversee all entries and approvals in Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
- Specification Control: Approve product catalog content, including naming, coding, finish standards, and material specifications.
C. Execution & Validation
- R&D Supervision: Supervise prototype builds, conduct pilot validations, and ensure launch readiness across technical, production, and marketing aspects.
- Team Mentorship: Guide R&D staff on technical documentation, data control, and adherence to development timelines.
D. Commercial Alignment
- Market Liaison: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing for product launch planning, market feedback collection, and product positioning.
- Feedback Loop: Track post-launch performance (sales, margin, defect rates) to inform continuous improvement and future design strategies.
